  1. To mark Contacts in the List View:

  3. 1. Select the Contacts you want to mark in the List View. You select a single Contact in the List View by clicking once on any of the Contact's fields. To select some but not all of the Contacts displayed in the List View:

  5. •    Hold down the Command key and click each Contact individually.
  6.  
  7. •    Hold down the Shift key and click and drag to the last Contact you want to select.

  9. •    Hold down the Shift key and click the first Contact you want to select and then the last one.

  11. To select all the Contacts in the List View, choose Select All from the Edit menu.

  13. 2. Choose Mark Contact from the Contact menu. The selected Contacts are marked.

  15. The Mark Contact command toggles the marked or unmarked state of any selected Contact, so you unmark a marked Contact by selecting it and choosing the command again.

  17. NOTE: It's possible that some of the Contacts you selected were already marked, and if the Marked field isn't included in the current List Layout you can't tell by looking whether they were or not. Fortunately, the Mark function is consistent. If none of the selected Contacts or only some of them are marked, choosing Mark Contact marks them all. If all the selected Contacts are marked, choosing Mark Contact unmarks them all.
